HINTON, WV (WOAY) – Incumbent Commissioner Mike Gore has won the Republican primary for the Summers County Commission New River District seat, according to preliminary results.
Gore was first elected to the commission in 2020 after defeating then-incumbent Democrat Bill Lightner. He is a long time volunteer firefighter and a former business owner in Summers County.
County commissioners in West Virginia serve six-year terms. No Democrat filed for the seat.
