WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): The rainy weather from yesterday lingers this morning before we dry up in the afternoon. Clouds will slowly dissipate as temperatures fall off a cliff this evening. The morning will be the warmest part of the day as we start to feel the effects of arctic air dropping down from Canada later today. By early morning tomorrow, temperatures will be in the 20s and wind chills will likely be even colder. If you are travelling tonight or tomorrow morning, please be sure to stay warm and be prepared for the cold. Meteorologist Christian Boteler has the details:
Thanksgiving through Saturday will have mostly cloudy skies as temperatures remain frigid. The worst of the cold will come on Friday as temperatures will stay in the 20s during the day and drop into the teens overnight into Saturday morning. We can thank Canada for this blast of cold air, as their cold air will fall into the region overnight tonight into Thursday morning. This quick but chilly blast of air will start recovering on Saturday as we reach 40 degrees, but that won’t be the end of our active weather for the extended forecast.

Sunday will be above freezing in most places, but ice and rain are expected across the region as the next round of rain pushes through in the morning. Our highest mountains may see snow early in the morning and late at night while rain prevails through the day. Most of the region will get a break on Monday with only isolated showers expected before more widespread rain, ice, and snow return to the forecast on Tuesday. We’ll be keeping an eye on things as we get closer to Sunday and next week. Here’s your look at the 7-Day Forecast:
