DANIELS, WV (WOAY)- Glade Springs Resort started their first ever Holiday Light Trail this holiday season, and boy was their opening night back in November a hit, as they had 500 people show up. Glade springs creative director explains why they created this event.
“We wanted to give the area another Christmas event, another opportunity to celebrate Christmas with your families and loved ones. A place for friends to gather and just create Christmas memories,” expressed Ashley Long, Creative Director at Glade Springs.
The trail itself is a quarter mile of all sorts of light displays for guests to enjoy and take family photos, but there’s more to this event then just the trail.
“Your ticket also includes the cozy igloo lounge, where we have a character corner with lots of characters that kids can take pictures with, hug, have meet and greets,” explained Long. “We have our snow brawl, which is our snowball fight arena for the kids, and we have a letter writing for Santa’s station. We also have a Christmas marketplace and a Christmas Cafe in.”

The Light Trail is open from now all the way through till January 7th.
