West Virginia (WOAY)- Gas prices in West Virginia have fallen 4.6 cents in the last week.
According to GasBuddy price reports, the average price per gallon in West Virginia is $3.06.
The cheapest West Virginia station prices gas at $2.68 per gallon, while the most expensive was $4.47 per gallon.
The national average has fallen 3.4 cents in the last week, averaging $3.10 per gallon, marking its second consecutive weekly decline.
Gas prices have dropped in more than 40 states.
However, some states have seen increases due to localized price cycling.
With oil prices rallying over the past week, GasBuddy’s head of petroleum analysis, Patrick De Haan, states the downward trend in gas prices may start to stall.
So far, 2025 has been relatively calm at the pump for most Americans, thanks in part to OPEC’s ongoing restoration of oil production and continued uncertainty surrounding tariff policy and its potential impact on the global economy.
Regardless, Americans are currently spending over $200 million less per day on gasoline than they did this time last year.
