WELCH, WV (WOAY) – The Gary Police Department sponsored today’s Bola Wrap event for other departments.
There were 20 representatives from two different states and two different counties at today’s event. The Gary department is excited to save lives in Southern West Virginia down the road using this technology.
“When I saw the technology on the internet, I knew it’s something that will help us with our meth overdoses,” said Gary Chief of Police S.P. “Pat” McKinney. “It’s something that will help with mental hygiene. I knew we might be able to save lives if we have that and give ourselves a better option. I just thought it had to be brought into West Virginia so that we’d have a chance to use it.”
McKinney added that the department couldn’t be happier with the day’s proceedings.
