Summers County, WV (WOAY) A woman wanted in Virginia on felony narcotics charges is now in custody following an investigation in Summers County.
According to the Summers County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Withrow responded to a reported domestic disturbance in the Fox Addition area and made contact with 36-year-old Cassondra Wood.
Authorities say further investigation revealed Wood was listed as a Fugitive from Justice and was wanted by law enforcement in Virginia in connection with felony narcotics-related charges.
Wood was taken into custody without incident and is expected to be transported to Southern Regional Jail pending extradition proceedings.
As with all criminal cases, Wood is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
