Frost will form in Pocahontas County overnight but the remainder of the region will see a light frost just in time for back to school Monday morning.
After the frost early Monday, we have a dry week ahead with temperatures rebounding back to the middle 80s by Thursday. A low pressure in the Bay of Campeche will likely push north into the Gulf of Mexico and make landfall along the western Gulf Coast during the midweek. Our region could see a few showers Friday after 10 p.m. and again Saturday. At this point, we won’t see more than 0.50″ of rain because the core of the storm will likely track either too far west or south of the region.
