Free childbirth classes coming to Oak Hill’s WIC Office

OAK HILL, WV (WOAY) – Free childbirth classes will be happening at the WIC Center in Oak Hill throughout the month of March.

Zach Nunnally will be leading the classes that take place on every Tuesday and will cover everything from the stages of labor to C-sections to care-taking.

Nunnally is a birth doula which means he is certified to provide support to women before, during and after labor and is looking forward to leading these classes.

“Overall, it’s going to comfort who ever is there, especially the mom, but even in a situation where the mom might be medicated for certain reasons, then the supporting person is also prepared, so we hope that it can cover like a wide spectrum of questions that people might have ahead of time,” he said.

This will start on March 3 and will last from 2:30 to 4 p.m. You do not have to be a WIC recipient to participate.
