Fayette County, WV (WOAY) – A former park service employee has been sentenced for stealing donations from the New River Gorge National Park.
James Masters admitted to stealing around $150 from the donation box at the Canyon Rim Visitor Center. He covered surveillance cameras to try to avoid detection.
He has to pay the money back and will serve one year of federal probation.
