PRINCETON, WV (WOAY) – First Christian Church in Princeton held a community-wide yard sale this past Saturday.
The yard sale was held as a fundraiser for a 100-year-old sanctuary that is currently in the process of renovation. The fundraiser totaled over $1,600 to put towards the second phase of the renovation.
“We had good community participation,” said First Christian Church Pastor Steve Janning. “Our church family worked really hard. They were pitching in and by the end of the day, we were worn out. The community came in. We interacted with our church people, and it really seemed to be more than just a yard sale.”
First Christian Church is also very happy with the increased exposure to the renovation efforts that the fundraiser drew within the Princeton community.
