Raleigh County, WV (WOAY) – The Bureau of Prisons is continuing to investigate a possible gun brought onto the property of FCI Beckley.
According to a statement to Newswatch this afternoon, the investigation began last Thursday after the warden at FCI Beckley learned that a gun may have been brought onto the property.
The facility was immediately put into a modified operations status out of caution and to allow a full, comprehensive search.
According to the Bureau of Prisons, a gun has not been found on the property or inside the facility.
It is still under investigation.
