Fayetteville seeking teams to participate in annual Bridge Day Chili Competition

Fayetteville, WV (WOAY) Fayetteville is calling all chili cooks for its annual Bridge Day Chili Cook-Off!

Organizers say there are currently only two teams signed up, but 15 teams are needed to ensure there is enough chili for the tasting segment on October 17.

The competition is open to friends, family, workplace, school groups, or community organizations, with adult and youth divisions available.

First-place winners will take home a $600 cash prize, with a $400 prize for second place.

There are additional chances to take home awards in categories including best booth, cornbread, and vegetarian chili.

Every team will receive $100 toward ingredients.

Organizers urge those interested in competing to gather a team, bring their recipes, and help keep this Bridge Day tradition going.
