Fayette County, WV (WOAY) – The Fayetteville High School Alumni Association has reopened its annual scholarship under the Fayette County Community Foundation.
The scholarship is available to one senior at Oak Hill High School and one senior at Midland Trail.
These two students would have attended the old Fayetteville High School before it closed in 2019, hence the involvement of the Fayetteville High School Alumni Association.
The eligibility requirements are to have a 4.0 grade point average with plans to attend either college or trade school post graduation.
The deadline is May 1, and applications can be found online at the Fayette County Community Foundation webpage, with a requirement to upload transcripts.
Applications can also be picked up at the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce at 310 Oyler Avenue in Oak Hill.
