Fayette County’s Punishers LEMC getting ready for their annual poker run

FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (WOAY) –  The Black Bear chapter of the Punishers Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club is preparing for their “Rumble Over the Gorge” poker run.

This will take place on September 12 and will take riders on a scenic trip from Elliot’s Whitewater Bar and Grill in Fayetteville to Dorsey’s Hog Tails in Hico.

Jeffery Statts is the club quartermaster and says this year, all proceeds with go to benefit Veterans’ charities. 

“I’m a Veteran, and you’re always in need of something,” Statts said. “There’s so many of them out there that need help in ways that some of the actual government type of organizations can’t help. We just try out best to support some of the other organizations to just give back.”

Registration will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The cost for a single rider is $20 and the cost for couples or cars is $25. For an extra playing card, the cost is $10. You can pre-register by emailing plemcblackbear@gmail.com and using PayPal paying the same email address.
