Fayette County woman has pleaded guilty to fraudulently depositing money orders

Fayette County, WV (WOAY) –  A Fayette County woman has pleaded guilty to fraudulently depositing money orders while working as an administrative assistant for the West Virginia Board of Barbers and Cosmetologists.

Crystal Severson, a forty-five-year-old woman from Gauley Bridge, admitted to altering money orders submitted by people seeking licenses with the board.

She replaced the information with her mother’s name- but her mother was not aware of the fraud.
