Fayette County Warming Center to open on Sunday, January 25 as icy conditions continue

Oak Hill, WV (WOAY) Due to the ongoing severe weather, the Fayette County warming center will open its doors again tonight for anyone in need of shelter.

The center, located at the old Oak Hill High School at 140 School Street, will open at 8:00 pm and will remain open until 8:00 am.

Visitors can expect a warm place to sit, beverages, snacks, restrooms, and projector films.

The Southern Appalachian Labor School opens the shelter when temperatures fall below 15 degrees, including windchill.
