Fayette County, WV (WOAY) – The Fayette County Community Foundation is a relatively new non-profit organization that formed in May of 2024 when a like-minded group of Fayette County residents came together and decided the county needed a public indoor swimming pool.
In January, the foundation was awarded a technical assistance grant from the New River Gorge Regional Development Authority that will allow them to begin the pre-production work on what a Fayette County community indoor recreation center would look like.
Currently, they are seeking the community’s input with an online survey that is now live.

An indoor pool is a priority for the indoor recreation center, yet they hope there will be other opportunities for a variety of indoor sports that include leagues for all ages.
