Fayette county soap store provides local businesses with hand sanitizer

FAYETTEVILLE, WV (WOAY) – Since the coronavirus outbreak hand sanitizer has been hard to find. A local Fayette County cosmetics store is hard at work providing local businesses with hand sanitizer.

Hundreds of hand sanitizers are being produced at Wild Mountain Soap Company every day.

“We’re making hand sanitizers, five to ten gallons a day while our supply of alcohol holds up,” said owner Phillip Peelish.

The owner Phillips Peelish is hard at work fulfilling orders. The priority for the owner is to get it to those who need it the most.

“We mostly doing businesses that are still open and then we have a lot of loyal customers that come back to get their monthly supply.”

In the fight against COVID-19, health experts say staying clean is our best weapon.

“The virus has a oily coating on the outside of it. The way soap works, it has one side that attractive to oil and the other side is attractive to water and what it does as you watch your hand it pulls the oil off of the virus and kills it,” said Peelish.

Hand sanitizers are prioritized for businesses, but if you are interested in other products while in quarantine, all online orders $20 and over receive free shipping.
