Oak Hill, WV (WOAY) – Fayette County Sheriffs are investigating the cause of an ATV accident that resulted in two juveniles being airlifted to Charleston.
According to a media release from Sheriff Mike Fridley, authorities responded to a call to the e911 center reporting the accident on August 20 just after 5:00 pm.
When deputies arrived, emergency services were transporting two individuals to a landing zone to be flown to Charleston Area Medical Center for treatment.
After interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence from the scene, deputies reported that the driver lost control of the ATV while driving through a mud hole, exiting the path, and striking a tree.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Department has not disclosed the location of the incident as the investigation remains active.
