Fayette County Humane Society welcomes new director

Fayetteville, WV (WOAY) The Fayette County Humane Society is proud to announce a new Director, Audie Montgomery.

Montgomery will take over from former Shelter Director Fallyn Wakefield, who is stepping down from the role.

Montgomery has eight years of hands-on animal care experience, previously working at an animal hospital in Florida, where she gained extensive medical and behavioral knowledge.

During that time, she also fostered for a rescue organization, going on to foster more than 1,000 dogs and puppies.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and is just three months away from completing her master’s degree.

In an official media release, the Fayette County Humane Society says her compassion, experience, and commitment make her the right leader for this next chapter as the organization continues working to help sick animals, abandoned pets, families facing hardship, and overcrowded shelters in need of support.
