Fayette County Health Department offering free tetanus and hepatitis A vaccinations

Fayette County, WV (WOAY) – The Fayette County Health Department is going to hard-hit areas with their mobile clinic offering free tetanus and hepatitis A vaccinations.

After the flood waters have receded and cleanup has begun in earnest, it is important to consider your vaccine status.

Both water and debris left behind can potentially cause infection.

First responders are, of course, a focus; however, everyone impacted and assisting in impacted areas should consider their vaccine status.

The Fayette County Health Department can be reached at 304-574-1617 as well as on Facebook. They are happy to help determine your status and need for these vaccines.

The mobile clinic has visited Armstrong Creek, Robson, Minden, Cunard, and Fayetteville, even visiting homes in some locations. The situation is fluid, and they communicate with local officials to find out where the greatest need is. Their outreach into the communities will continue on Friday.
