Fayette County, WV (WOAY) – Fayette County deputies are investigating a body found in a ditch along US Route 60.
On the evening of July 7, 2025, Fayette County deputies responded to a report of a deceased individual in a ditch along US Route 60 in the Charlton Heights area.
When deputies arrived, they located an adult male that was unresponsive who was later pronounced dead at the scene.
According to a media release from Fayette County Sheriff Jess McMullen, deputies were unable to locate any identification on the deceased male.
Deputies describe the man as being approximately 45 to 55 years of age, weighing around 175 pounds, standing about 5 feet 10 inches tall. He has dark-colored hair that had been dyed auburn/dark red. He has a distinctive tattoo located on his left shoulder/upper arm that reads “Baby Britt.”
