Fayette County Animal Shelter is closed temporarily due to Parvo

Fayette County, WV (WOAY) – The Fayette County Animal Shelter is closed temporarily due to Parvo.

The shelter states it has 2 confirmed cases of Parvo.

To stop the spread and protect the animals in the shelter, the staff will enhance cleaning and disinfection routines and perform a deep clean of the entire building.

They are also asking for your help. The shelter is doing everything it can to help the infected animals, but treatment and medical care are expensive.

If you can donate, you can do so through their website or directly with their account at the Oak Hill Animal Hospital by calling 304-465-8267.

The shelter will update the public on when it can reopen. They also urge you to speak to your vet about vaccinating your dog against Parvo.
