Fayco Lumber invites community to 80th anniversary celebration

Oak Hill, WV (WOAY) This Saturday, Fayco Lumber and Supply is celebrating 80 years of service to Fayette County and the surrounding area. Starting at 10 am tomorrow, the close-knit family business invites the community to enjoy food, prizes, a storewide discount, and opportunities to share memories across generations.

Company president Cathy Akers says that she and her family are proud to share this milestone with the community that makes their business possible.

“We’ll be celebrating tomorrow starting at 10:00 with the mayor of Oak Hill and a ribbon cutting. And then that will be followed at 11 by a free Swiftwater hot dog picnic with all the trimmings. And we’re going to have giveaways. We have antique tractors that will be here, and we’re hoping everybody will come out and celebrate with us. And this is a small way we can thank the community for supporting us over all this time.”

9-year-old Harrison Short, self-proclaimed future owner of Fayco, wanted to share another reason to come celebrate tomorrow:

“Tomorrow, everything’s 20% off in our store.”
