Epling Excited to Return to Miners Dugout

WOAY – Hear from West Virginia Miners manager Tim Epling, as the club is less than two months away from the scheduled start of the 2020 Prospect League season.

This year will mark a return to the dugout for Epling, who was the team’s manager from 2010-2018, but he moved to the club’s front office in 2019. The Miners will be looking to improve from a tough 2019 season, when they missed the league playoffs for a second straight year.

Epling says this season will be a unique setup, as the players coming in this year will have had early ends to their college seasons because of the COVID-19 outbreak. Regardless, he is looking forward to the start of a new year on the diamond.

The Miners’ season opener is May 28 in Beckley against Lafayette.
