Nicholas County, WV (WOAY) – This Friday, June 26, someone will get one step closer to becoming a local legend.
Friday at 6:30 p.m. is the preliminary round for the Summersville Showcase, which is a vocal talent contest.
It is the first time the city is hosting the event as part of their music at the Pavilion series on Friday nights during the Summer.
If you want to show what you got, you can register until 4:30 p.m. Friday, June 26 – the day of the preliminary round.
You can register on the City of Summersville Facebook page.
There is a QR code on the flyer, or you can register in person at City Hall.
Contestants can sing acapella, bring an instrument to accompany them, or bring an instrumental track to sing along with.
There is no fee to register. The showcase is winner-take-all with a $1,000 prize presented by the city of Summersville.
