Mercer County, WV (WOAY) Mercer County firefighters responded to a local high school to extinguish flames that broke out in a classroom earlier this evening.
According to a statement from Mercer County Schools, local first responders received a call reporting a fire in a PikeView High School classroom.
Initial investigation suggests it was an electrical fire.
The fire was contained to that classroom only, and authorities acted quickly to extinguish the flames.
No one was in the building at the time.
