WEST VIRGINIA (WOAY) – As the federal government is considering an economic stimulus package, many Americans can expect to soon receive some monetary assistance.
Greg Puckett, the Mercer County Commissioner, says the stimulus package will be a great help to many people and businesses affected by the pandemic, but the money should be used wisely.
“You know we don’t want people out there right now, you know, taking any kind of a stimulus and going crazy. I mean this is about being responsible and everybody has a role to play. And so if you do get a stimulus to offset possible losses in your salary, just remember, these are losses,” Puckett said.
Right now it’s unknown exactly when any stimulus money will be delivered.
