MONROE COUNTY, WV (WOAY)- Monroe County clerk has announced that the early voting turnout has been the highest in recent history for Monroe County.
Over 3,200 participated in early voting for the November election. The party breakdown of voter turnout goes as followed;1,780 voters were Republicans, 716 were Democrats, 687 were no party affiliation, 9 were Libertarians, 3 were Mountain Party, and 41 represented other affiliations.
Out of the turnout 1,556 of voters were men and 1,680 were women. On top of early voting there was 236 absentee ballots.
County clerk Jeremy Meadows would like to remind voters that polling locations on election day will be open from 6:30 am to 7:30 pm.
