DUI checkpoint to be held in Oak Hill

The West Virginia State Police will hold a DUI checkpoint in Oak Hill Sept. 9.

It’s happening along East Main Street, starting at 6 p.m. and ending at 2 a.m. the morning of Sept. 10. The checkpoint is located by the old Department of Highways building.

The purpose of the checkpoint is to deter people from driving while impaired.
