Drug-Free All-Stars held its final spring event

Mercer County, WV (WOAY) – One local organization aiming to keep kids off drugs held its final event for the school year.

The Drug-Free All-Stars held its final spring event at Bluefield Middle School on Tuesday.

Drug-Free All-Stars visits schools around the region and encourages kids to stay off drugs while taking on their favorite teachers.

The event was highlighted by honoring Tony Webster, whose son, “Little” Tony, died of a heart condition while in high school. Webster gives out scholarships to kids in Mercer County every year.

The fun can’t last forever, though, Greg Pucket, director of the Drug-Free All-Stars says in December the All-Stars are hanging up their sneakers for good.
