DMV warns about text scam going around

Oak Hill, WV (WOAY) – The West Virginia Division of Motor Vehicles is warning drivers about fake text messages that tell people they owe toll payments. According to the DMV, the scam works by sending a link and claiming that you owe money.

It attempts to get you to click on the link and send the money. However, it is all a scam.

The DMV says it does not send out text messages.
