DHHR’S Bureau for Public Health to host public listening session in Raleigh County on November 2

Beckley, WV (WOAY) – The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR) Bureau for Public Health is hosting community listening sessions to gain insight from residents on health issues as part of the 2023 State Health assessment. 

The organization has scheduled one listening session for Southern West Virginia.

The session will be on November 2 at the Raleigh County Public Library in Beckley from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. 

The bureau will use information from the sessions to create the state health improvement plan, a five-year plan to help address public health issues and themes by aligning resources to improve health outcomes. 

The State Health Assessment also includes a Community Health Survey accessible to the public through Monday, October 9, and a Community Partner Survey open to organizations involved in community health through Wednesday, October 11.
