Deadline to view Raleigh County Parks and Recreation Master Plan on December 18

Beckley, WV (WOAY) The Raleigh County Parks and Recreation Authority (RCPRA) is taking a big step toward shaping the future of outdoor fun, and the deadline to view that plan is approaching.

Raleigh County Parks and Recreation is working on a new master plan to guide the growth and improvement of the county’s recreational facilities, from Lake Stephens and Fitzpatrick Park to the Clear Fork Rail Trail and future sites like Glen Morgan Creekside Park.

The plan also explores gaps in access, opportunities for new programming, and how recreation can boost economic development for the entire region.

The authority partnered with the GAI Consultants’ Community Solutions Group, and now they want you to take a look at their plans.

The online survey is available to review on the Raleigh County Parks website and will remain open through Thursday, December 18.
