Raleigh County, WV (WOAY) – The deadline is approaching for a summer program for Raleigh County kids.
Raleigh County Schools is offering a free summer school program for our elementary students.
According to a Facebook post from Independence Middle School, the program will run from Monday, July 7 through Friday, July 25, 2025, at Ridgeview Elementary School in Sophia, WV. Kids will attend Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM each day with Transportation provided at designated stops by the county.
The summer school program will focus on strengthening skills in English Language Arts (ELA) and Math to help students stay on track and prepare for the upcoming school year with. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for all students free of charge.
The deadline to register for the program is May 9, 2025.
