Bluefield, WV (WOAY) – The Chamber of Commerce of the Two Virginias wants to warn individuals and businesses when doing cash transactions.

According to a Facebook post, The Chamber wants businesses in the two Virginias to keep their eyes peeled for counterfeit currency.

The bills may even look legitimate when marked with a detection pen, but they are actually fake.

Officials with The Chamber of Commerce of the Two Virginias say four stores in Mercer County have received the fake money so far.

If you have any information related to the source or passing of counterfeit currency, please call local law enforcement.
