It is a cool and mostly cloudy day today around the region, with temperatures about 10 degrees below the normal high for this time of the year.
There are some showers around as well, mainly in the northern part of the state, although some of these will make their way to our area as well. After days of active weather in the state, none of these showers are expected to be severe.
The upper-level low that has produced all this active weather continues to meander to our north and while it is slowly moving to the northeast, it is what is producing today’s chance for rain.
After a dry day tomorrow, another system comes into the area on Thursday and gives us a chance for more showers, with some isolated storms thrown in for good measure. But rainfall totals with this system should be fairly light.
And after it is gone expect nice weather by this weekend. Temperatures on Saturday will be cool but will warm slightly to seasonable levels on Sunday and stay there for the rest of the forecast. The next chance for rain will come into the picture on Monday with some storms in the forecast by Tuesday.
