Cool and breezy now, but warm weather is on the way

It is a mostly sunny day around the area, although it is a bit on the cool side. It is breezy as well, so the afternoon drive might be affected by that, but overall, a nice day.
Tonight, will be a cold night around the region, with frost likely in wind sheltered spots. Even those areas that are usually exposed to the wind will see some frost as the winds are expected to become calm with high pressure overhead. There are Frost Advisories for areas to our northwest and southeast, but none for us as the growing season has still not started yet.
The nice weather will last for a few days before another storm approaches from the southwest. The storm will present a multi-day threat for areas to our west and southwest, but it appears that any severe weather should stay away from our area. However, the Storm Prediction Center has a 15% probability area for areas just off to our northwest but covering parts of the state. That runs from Saturday morning until Sunday morning. If there is any severe weather it will be in the form of strong winds, but at this point all hazards are possible. It’s something that we’ll definitely be tracking over the next few days. Whether there is severe weather or not, there will be a chance for showers and storms around the region this weekend. The chances for rain won’t be all that high, and it shouldn’t spoil our holiday weekend plans.
Early next week, the cool front finally swings through the region, and a brief cooldown is in the forecast. Even then, however, temperatures will be close to normal.
