RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – Wednesday afternoon West Virginia Congresswoman Carol Miller visited the Raleigh County Memorial Airport.
The purpose of the visit was to meet with airport officials and local leaders to discuss options to bring in more aerospace businesses to Southern West Virginia. The airport has been working with serval partners to expand the infrastructure at the airport to support these businesses, and Congresswoman Miller has been talking with companies to see what they need to invest in our area.
“I’m dedicating my time in looking for a trade, I’m talking to ambassadors from other countries, and bringing in possibilities of we’d love to have you investing in Southern West Virginia,” said Congresswoman Carol Miller. “How can we educate our young people and re-educate our older people to the types of jobs that you are interested in.”
Congresswoman Miller also praised the airport for continuing to work towards the future, even during the COVID-19 pandemic.
