ATHENS, WV (WOAY) – Concord University is hosting the 10k Your Way, a fundraiser consisting of a virtual race.
The fundraiser will have participants run ten kilometers over the course of a week and log their progress remotely.
Sarah Turner, Director of Alumni at Concord University, says the idea is to reunite the Concord community while the campus is closed.
“However long this lasts, we just wanna make sure that our Concord community knows that we care about them, we still want them to feel connected to the school. And hopefully doing some fun things like this will help them stay connected and remember that we’re still here for them.”
Participants can join the race for $25. All proceeds go to the university’s annual fund.
