Athens, WV (WOAY)—As part of sexual assault awareness month, Concord’s Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) will observe Paint CU Teal Day.
The presentation and resource fair is part of a national campaign aimed at raising awareness of sexual assault and showing support for survivors.
The teal ribbon symbolizes the fight against sexual violence.
SART is asking staff members, students, and faculty to paint at least one nail or wear teal as a sign of solidarity with survivors to help spark meaningful conversations.
A brief presentation will kick off the event at 9:30 a.m. in the Jean and Jerry L. Beasley Student Center stateroom.
The event is free and open for the community to attend.
Supplies and tables will be set up throughout campus.
Participants are encouraged to take a photo wearing teal and share it on social media using the hashtag #PAINTCUTEAL.
