Mercer County, WV (WOAY) – Concord University has received a Purple Star Award for its service to military families.
The award, given by the West Virginia Department of Education, sets a standard statewide for schools that serve students connected to military service.
Concord says it is committed to helping veterans, active-duty service members, reservists, and their families access higher education.
The school fulfills this mission by providing guidance and resources and working with outside groups to maximize impact.
Concord was also recognized by U.S. Veterans magazine.
