Mercer County, WV (WOAY) – Concord is taking a moment to welcome its 13th president of the university and introduce her to the community on Thursday.
Dr. Brittany Meighen has over 20 years of experience in higher education leadership roles. She started her run as president of Concord University on July 1, 2025.
Before her time at Concord, she served as vice president for Academics and Student Affairs for the University of North Carolina system, a position that saw her support over 240,000 students.
From 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Beckley’s Historic Black Knight on Thursday, you can meet and mingle with Dr. Meighen and other business community members.
