Athens, WV (WOAY)- One of Mercer County’s favorite summer traditions is back for its 37th year.
The Athens-Concord Town Social returns on Sunday, August 17, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on the front lawn of Concord University.Â
With 53 vendors lined up, you can expect a variety of food and crafts, as well as local businesses, school groups, and civic organizations.Â
Live music from The Allen Smith Band and The Pubknockers will keep the energy high.
At the same time, highlights include the Town Social Awards and scholarships, presented at 2:30 p.m., recognizing outstanding community contributions.Â
The Town Social Car Show is also returning, featuring awards like Mechanics’ Pick and President’s Pick, selected by Concord’s new president, Dr. Bethany Meighen.Â
