Concord University and Summit Bechtel Reserve partner to provide student internship opportunities

Athens, WV (WOAY)Concord University and the Summit Bechtel Reserve are partnering to create new internship opportunities for students.

The new internship pipeline will give Concord students real-world experience in hospitality, tourism, recreation, and service at the Summit Bechtel Reserve near Glen Jean.
The program will offer paid summer internships for eligible Concord business students who work 60 days, along with mentorship, letters of completion and reference, and potential scholarship opportunities.
Students will go through the standard employment application process at the summit.
Concord will also help connect eligible students and faculty with the program and integrate the internships into work-based learning and credit options.
University and summit officials say the partnership is designed to give students practical experience, professional connections, and skills they can use as they begin their careers.
