ATHENS, WV (WOAY) – Concord University is hosting the 2024 West Virginia Academic Showdown this Saturday.
Students throughout the state will spend the entire day competing in regional matchups, including math, history, sports, fine arts, and more.
The event was begun in 2022.
“We are proud to be one of the higher education institutions hosting this year’s Academic Showdown in partnership with the West Virginia Department of Education, the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission, West Virginia Public Broadcasting, and the West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture, and History,” Concord President Kendra Boggess said. “We are appreciative of the support we have received to host this challenging and fun event that will test West Virginia students’ knowledge.”
