ATHENS, WV (WOAY) – Both the Concord men’s and women’s basketball teams now sit at 4-3 on the season, after beating Frostburg State.
The women’s team kicked off the afternoon with a dominant 76-53 win over the Bobcats. Riley Fitzwater continued her dominant season, posting 17 points and 10 rebounds for her fifth double-double of the season.
Concord also received a massive boost from its bench, with 30 points contributed by non-starters. Jazz Blankenship scored 16 points in just 16 minutes of action.
Over in the men’s game, Concord beat Frostburg State 69-60. The two teams were tied with 4:07 remaining, but the Mountain Lions embarked on a 13-4 run to close out the game.
The men’s team also received a major boost from the bench, with Da’Vion Moore scoring a team-high 18.
