Concord Esports Event is calling all gamers

Mercer County, WV (WOAY) – One local university is starting its video game camps next week. The Concord Esports team will be starting their youth video game camp starting Monday, July 7, and running through the 14. That’s not the only camp they are holding this summer. July 21 will feature an FPS camp for ages twelve and up.

A recruitment camp for ages 15 and up will be held on July 28. Then, an Esports combine will be held on August 1 for juniors, seniors, and incoming college freshmen.

The combine will have other universities’ programs there to recruit prospects for their programs. While the camps are starting next week, Nathan Lockhart, the assistant Esports director at Concord University, says there are spots still available for all camps, and you can register at Concord’s website.
