WOAY – While the COVID-19 pandemic has put the sports world on hold at the moment, the Mountain East Conference has released the 2020 football schedules for all member schools, including Concord.
It will be the Mountain Lions’ first season with new head coach Dave Walker, a Pineville native who had been the head coach at Martinsburg High School for many years. Following a bye in week one, Concord will open the season September 12 in Athens against Walker’s alma mater, Glenville State.
The Mountain Lions, who are looking to improve from a 1-10 record in 2019, will play 10 games in 2020, including a Thursday night home matchup with Charleston. The full schedule is below.
