Raleigh County, WV (WOAY) – A southern West Virginia law enforcement agency has an event scheduled this weekend aimed at helping communities in need.
The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office will hold its next “You Are Not Alone” Community Outreach event on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 9p.m.
According to a post on the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, the community outreach event will be held at 7264 Coal City Road, Rhodell (Coal City Volunteer Fire & EMS Station 2).
The event, organized by Sargent B.J. Adkins is to bring on site resources to people struggling with substance abuse, mental health, or homelessness who are ready to seek assistance.
Sheriff Frank Priddy and Chief Deputy Frankie Shelton say,” the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office will continue to meet individuals where they are and show them, they are not alone.”
